Join me to uncover Budapest’s charms beyond the Unesco spots! This private tour is perfect for those who have already seen the highlights and want to explore the city further. Budapest never fails to amaze travelers, it has so many stories to tell. As we wander around, not only will we discover the hooks and crannies of the the city, but you can also connect with its soul. We can stop by the busy Central Market Hall to taste delicious strudel, navigate through lively local parks with great architecture and hear lots of fascinating anecdotes, or immerse in the vibrant athmosphere and colourful street art of the Jewish district. I also have lots of memories and gossips to share with you! When we stand in front of the Parliament building admiring its beauty or contemplate about history at the famous Shoes Memorial, we will finally understand the following lines: „We travel not to escape life, but for life not to escape us"
We will start the day briefly discussing your interests and setting your personal itinerary for the day. There are many places to choose from: - the Jewish district with the Great Synagogue -2nd largest of the world! We can also visit a "ruin bar" with very special athmosphere! - Saint Stephens Cathedral - the Parliament area with Kossuth Square - The famous "Shoes by the Danube" Memorial, one of the most moving memorials of Europe - Liberty Square area, one of Budapest's hidden treasures. It's an area with great architecture and a lot of WWII, 1956 and communist history: Soviet Memorial, American Embassy building, WWII memorial, etc. . - a unique and unusual Cave Church inside a hill and the lobby of the Gellert Bathhouse, both on Gellert Hill - the Great Market Hall, (or optionally the Lehel Market Hall) - Vajdahunyad Castle in the City Park area, Szechenyi Bath - the Palace Quarter of Pest (not the same as the Castle District!)
