While writing this it is 14 years since I got my diploma as an authorized tourist guide in Copenhagen. Since then I have walked and toured numerous times and explored the gems and hideaways of this marvelous city with my guests. Copenhagen gives me the feeling of being connected to my history as a Dane. Walking hand in hand with Hans Christian Andersen, our great fairy tale writer to the sculpture of The Little Mermaid. Walking with the renaissance predecessor to our present king, king Christian 4th while enjoying his marvelous buildings. Strolling through the rococco town of the Royal Castle; Amalienborg, still the seat of our royal family. And enjoying the quiet of the Library garden or the colourful freetown of Christiania. This is an introduction to Copenhagen. Interior visits to the prehistoric collection at the National Museum, the Royal Reception Rooms at Christiansborg Castle, the New Carlsberg Glyptotek (Art Museum), or other sites can be added (more time and entrance fees added).
The New Harbour. Amalienborg Castle. The Little Mermaid. The Citadel. The Castle Island. EITHER: Christiania if you want. OR: The Cathedral of Copenhagen inside look (if open) and The Round Tower from the outside. (sometimes we can reach both if you choose a quick lunch) Lunch is in an old restaurant either in The New Harbour or in the Old town. Please note that most museums are closed on Mondays.

Combined walking/public transportation. Walking app. 3½-5 miles. (which you easily walk when you go shopping in a mall!). We use bus/train or metro when adequate. The best way to experience Copenhagen is by foot. We avoid delays because of road works and Metro building sites etc. Tour can be customized; please let me know beforehand. Should you want a minibus, then I can arrange that; because of prices in Denmark and VAT, etc., this will approximately double the price of the tour.
