Almost everyone who visits Iceland goes on the Golden Circle tour. It's understandable because they are the three top places to visit in the southwest corner of Iceland: Þingvellir, Geysir, and Gullfoss. Let me take you there. There's so much to see and learn, and I have my secret spots that most people miss when they go there. Bonus: During the wintertime, when we have a chance to see the Northern Lights and the conditions are favourable, we can step out of the street lights in Reykjavik for 2 hours and try to spot them.
The first stop is Þingvellir National Park, a place of great historical, geological, and biological interest. We explore the area and take a short hike down into the rift valley formed by the diverging tectonic plates. We continue our journey east, with a short stop for homemade ice cream, before arriving at Gullfoss waterfall, which many consider the most beautiful waterfall in Iceland, and a good place to have lunch. Next stop is the famous hot spring Geysir. Geysir hasn't erupted for a long time, but its little brother, Strokkur, is taking care of the action with short eruptions every 5 -10 minutes. On our way home, we can visit places like the Secret Lagoon, Friðheimar Tomato Farm, and Kerið the Crater. Please note that visiting the Secret Lagoon may affect the tour price if it prolongs the tour duration. I'm flexible, and we can adjust the tour agenda if necessary. 2024 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter minibus, featuring a luxury interior and easy access through the sliding side door. It has seats for up to 16 people and good luggage space. Please note that the tour price is for 8 people. An additional $50 will be charged per person. 2025 XPENG G6 for 1-3 people. The reserve car is a Ford Transit and is in good condition for up to 13 people.
