Overview of your Sydney tour:

Welcome to the World Famous Cabot Trail where your heart will never leave. Joining our tour you will depart the Port of Sydney and head north to the Cape Breton Highlands National Park. Along the journey you will enjoy 9 pre-planned stops for photo opportunities as well as time to stretch your legs during the long drive. The rugged untouched beauty of the eastern shore trace the World Famous Cabot Trail offering spectacular views of the North Atlantic Ocean as it blasts against the pink granite rocks and massive cliffs. As your guide, I will fill your time with stories of the area, answering your questions and hoping to entice some wildlife into our view - although, I can tell you from experience, moose do not take bribes *smiles*. We reach our destination in Neils Harbour and then make our way back to the Port of Sydney. I can ensure you that this journey is an epic drive!

Your Sydney tour itinerary

Our day starts with the pick up, meeting you will be the highlight to my day! Our journey begins in Sydney, the only city on Cape Breton Island. Travel westward towards the eastern entrance to the World Famous Cabot Trail. Entering the Cabot Trail at St. Ann's Bay, we will continue north along the bay to Indian River. From this point as we drive north to Neils Harbour, the scenery will change from rolling hills and rivers to mountains with high cliffs and breathtaking views of the North Atlantic Ocean. Once in Neils Harbour we will stop at a 19th century wooden lighthouse for a short visit before our return trek south to Ingonish. Departing Ingonish, we follow the World Famous Cabot Trail to Jersey Cove where (weather permitting) we will travel across to Englishtown on a small ferry. Englishtown is home to Giant MacAskill or Black Angus (1825 - August 8, 1863). Once we complete our travels through Englishtown, we will be at the base of Kelly's Mountain and on our way back to the City of Sydney.
